FLORIDA RETREAT FAQ'S

1. Will I need additional money?

Yes, for your dinners; occasional Ubers or Lyfts – there are added Wellness & Spa services you may wish to add in; if you want to add in an excursion; or if you wish to do any shopping in our lovely Downtown boutiques.

2. Do I have to attend all classes?

No. It is your retreat. We do recommend you attend some and connect with us though. Part of the charm of Quantum Leap is the loving space we hold for your healing, personal growth and transformation through-out your stay

3. Do I need to bring someone, or can I come alone to retreat?

Yes, you can come alone, most of our guests come solo and make great friends before they leave. Yogis are a friendly bunch

4. Do I need to have taken a yoga class before?

We recommend that you please take a few classes to familiarize yourself with the basics, even if it is using YouTube.com. That being said, our sister company is a yoga school so we cater to the beginner and empower you to develop a practice. You will be more comfortable taking a few classes prior to coming.

5. When does the retreat start?

Florida Retreats are rolling admission, so you can choose the timing that works best for you, and as long as we have availability, we can accommodate you. Arrival must be on Mondays, Thursdays, or Fridays check in is between 2pm and 3pm preferably, the latest for check in is 6pm. If you need our Early Arrival What To Dos suggestions - please ask

6. How far is it from the airport?

If you’re coming to Florida: the closest airports are West Palm Beach -ORFort Lauderdale airports*, both are equi-distant about 30 mins from us. It costs around $35-45 USD* (subject to change depending on time of day). Miami is not recommended, and only sometimes better for international flights than the other airports, note that it is at least an hour away.

7. Do I have to Uber or taxi, is there other transportation?

Uber or Lyft is best, downloadable Free Apps, or if you prefer, some guests find this Airport shuttle a good deal https://www.go-airportshuttle.com/airport-shuttle You can always take a Tri Rail or Brightline trains from the Miami or Fort Lauderdale airport, and then Uber from Boca Raton Tri Rail Train Station to us about 10 minutes and Brightline is even closer

8. How far are we from the beach?

We are a mile and a half from the beach, 15 minutes biking, or 35 - 40 minutes walking along one scenic route by the Intracoastal waterway and beautiful mansions. Depends how long your legs are. ;-)

9. Do we teach classes on the beach?

Twice per week sunrise meditation is taught on the beach, weather permitting. We have a wonderful outdoor covered 500 sq ft palapa, and teach the yoga classes on a stable surface, rather than the uneven sand. It is more practical and safe for all levels.

10. What do we do for dinner?

Guests have a couple choices: there are excellent grocery stores within walking distance, and there are also plenty of healthful and delicious multi- cultural cuisine restaurants to choose from within walking / biking / or a short uber ride distance from our retreat house. You can also choose to be more decadent with your dining if you wish. We have everything on a Favorite Restaurant List for you.

11. Is airport transfer included?

Not for our Florida retreats. Guests take an Uber or Lyft (downloadable Free Apps), or taxis are always available

12. When can I check in?

Check in is 2pm – 6pm, NO EARLIER -or- LATER please. We cannot accept arrivals outside of this time frame as we are teaching, coaching, facilitating, etc. Check out on your final day is at 11am, (if your flight is later in the day, you are able to keep your luggage on premises and partake in activities). Thank you for your understanding!

13. What do I do if my plane arrives earlier than check in time?

14. Will there be other food besides smoothies for breakfast and lunch?

Not on our Florida Retreats. The shakes that you are taught to make on your first day with us are Sipping Solution Smoothies. These shakes are designed to support you in learning more about a healthy lifestyle so you can take these skills home with you. The shakes are vegan, gluten free, low glycemic and chock full of tens of thousands of phyto-nutrients, anti- oxidants. We support you in being well balanced nutritionally to get all you need through-out the day, to have great energy, alkalinity, and serenity. There will also be special alkalizing water with added hydrogen to help you stay hydrated, and you can fill up your water bottle as often as you like. Each shake is divided into two parts, so you are essentially fueling up and grazing on antioxidants and phyto-nutrients through-out the day.

15. Are there any additional spa services offered?

Yes there are many options, please let us know any requests. Refer to our Wellness & Spa Services PDF. Additional therapies and upgrades to your services can be purchased after arrival (based on availability of course).

16. Do I have to bring my own yoga mat?

We prefer it since Covid times. We do have mats here you can use.

17. Should I bring my own bed linens – pillows, sheets?

No need. It’s handy to bring your own beach/pool towel. We supply the rest

18. Should I bring my own toiletries?

Yes, please do. Otherwise, you can purchase them at the local drug store or supermarket across the street (2 blocks away).

19. Is there a curfew?

We ask that the house be in quiet time after 9pm, unless there is an event. You are free to come and go, just be mindful of other guests who may wish to have quiet time and retire early.

20. Will I share a bathroom?

We have a shared bathroom, unless you book one of our private or shared rooms with an en suite bathroom.

21. Should I bring SPF lotion and/or bug spray?

Yes, we recommend that you do. Otherwise, you can purchase them at the local drug store or supermarket across the street (2 blocks away).
